If you have a 926*** series snowblower, this is NOT the answer to your problems with wet slushy snow. The 926*** series has a gap in front of the belt cover that allows slush to get onto the belts, especially when the chute is angled right. If you replace the original cover with p/n 04989100 it has a lip which covers the gap and requires only an additional hole to be drilled in the new cover to fit. If you check recent Ariens models you'll notice this type of cover is used. I have not seen the need for the baffle kit, although I can recognize that in extreme wind and snow conditions the baffle kit may be useful if snow blows back over a hot engine.

Arrived promptly, installation is easy using the included instructions (there is also a Youtube video detailing step-by-step instructions). This baffle will prevent the snowblower from not engaging the drive clutch after a lot of blowback melts on the engine.
